Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground flaxseeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons water

Instructions

  • in a bowl, mix together the almond flour, salt, flaxseeds, pepper, and garlic powder. Add water a little at a time and stir until the mixture resembles compact, wet sand.
  • Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. You will not need any oil or butter due to the flaxseeds in the mixture.
  • Cook the dough mixture in the hot skillet for 8-10 minutes. Use a silicone spatula or wooden spoon to continuously break up chunks as it cooks.
  • The moisture from the dough will cook out and the dough will begin to toast. You'll notice a change in color and a nutty fragrance. The breadcrumbs will become darker and golden.
  • Keep stirring and breaking up the crumbs so as not to let it burn on the bottom.
  • You'll know the breadcrumbs are done cooking when they resemble little pellets or balls.
  • Put the cooked breadcrumbs in a food processor and pulse until they are well broken up into a fine crumb.
Make gluten free bread crumbs with this easy 3 ingredient recipe. Simply seasoned, these keto breadcrumbs are a great pork rind or panko substitute.
