Keto Burger Recipe – Five Guys-Inspired

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 medium onion finely chopped
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons meat seasoning or all-purpose seasoning
  • 2 slices cheese
  • 8-10 slices iceberg lettuce

Instructions
 

  • Heat the oil and fry the onions at a low temperature until they become golden brown. Once the onions are done, remove them from the pan and set aside.
  • Divide the ground beef into four equal parts and shape into patties. Season your patties with salt, pepper, and your preferred seasoning. Fry them for 7-8 minutes to get medium-cooked burgers. Or fry/grill to your desired level of doneness.
  • It's time for the cheese! If you're cooking your patties on a grill, add the cheese slices on top of two of the burgers 3 minutes before they're fully cooked. If possible, close the lid to encourage steam. If you're using a frying pan, add the cheese and cover the pan with a lid for 2 minutes to allow the cheese to melt.
  • When the patties are ready, place each cheese-topped patty on a few slices of lettuce, followed by the second non-cheesy patty, some fried onions, and any other desired toppings. Finish off with another layer of lettuce.
